I love Monty Python.

I found their slapstick comedy funny when I was first introduced to them in my late teens and early twenties. I totally missed the satire in their shows and their deconstruction of the norms. Now, I find the comedies that I love the most are satirical. Has any public comedian proclaimed Monty Python as a direct influence? I think many have mentioned them as being fans. But I can't remember any claiming a direct influence.

Wisecrack (good YouTube channel) has posted a video essay on them. It's a good watch.

I've loved Python for a long time! There's nothing else remotely like it/them!
