Gore won the popular vote, and would have won the electoral college, but for for efforts of two lawyers- John Roberts and Brett Kavanaugh - lobbying the Supreme Court to stop counting the vote in Florida.

The associated press paid for an independent count of the Florida votes, and Al Gore actually won. Unfortunately they came out with the results on September 12, 2001. After the 9-11 attack, they did nto think it woudl be prudent to question who held the office of president, and so although it was published, it was buried behind stories of the attack.

Republicans lost the popular vote but won in 2 of the last 3 presidential elections and gave us 2 disastrous presidencies. They have figured out how to game the system so they can win with their minority party. Time for a change!

Damn right! It's good to see that your vote will count 100% of the time!
