Are freethinkers endangered species?

...seems that people thinking & acting
outside the "norm" ,are fewer then 60's-70's.
Why ; will we weather the result?

I see a lot of "free thinkers" on the internet. Problem is that most of them are not thinking at all. They are lured in by provocative postings, mostly starting with how the government (business, liberals, etc.) are lying to you about whatever they're selling: electricity (free if you buy this book), food (whatever you're eating now will kill you, but this book explains whats safe ), vaccines, flat earth, socially responsible governing, contrails, climate change, etc. etc. These propaganda outlets mostly tell people that if they buy these stories (and the merchandise that goes with them), they have joined the community of free thinkers. I believe that the key word in the phrase is "think." Just making stuff up (the "free" part) is the opposite of thinking. Aristotle was a bright man who had lots of opinions about the world, most of them wrong.
