I make it a thing every year. A friend also started an online chat group during the Oscar broadcast that I've enjoyed taking part in the last two years. I watch it for the bad outfits, the awful production numbers, the vapid celebrities who can't read a teleprompter, and the unexpected glitches and screw-ups (last year's Best Picture mix-up was a doozy). And, oh yeah, to see who wins.
If there is a good host I will watch. I like the jokes they make more than the entire show.
Not usually - but hoping The Silent Child will win something this year.
