What's your favorite popularist science book or science lecture? And why do you like it? Links would be helpful.
I'm going with Sean Carroll's Mysteries of Modern Physics: Time
[thegreatcourses.com]
It taught me there important if entropy, which I never really got it's important in science before.

"The Dragons of Eden," by the late Dr. Carl Sagan. It is one of the best explanation of human brain evolution for the layman. It won a Pulitizer Prize.

I love that book. I would think I little dated now, but it's been a while since I read it.
