LINK Texas Debate Over Confederate Monuments Gets Heated

A bill was introduced that would in effect protect all of Texas' Confederate monuments.

“Imagine what would happen if some politician decided they wanted to contextualize the history of World War II and the Holocaust and their solution was to tear down Auschwitz?”

The difference is that Auschwitz is not a memorial honoring the Nazis, while Confederate statues do honor traitors.
