LINK Iranian cleric: Father’s fantasies during intercourse causes homosexuality | Michael Stone

I really hate it when people who are grossly ignorant speak as if they were an actual authority.

And here is yet more misinformation given by a religious person to further the lies so often fed to the believers.... Science is factual, but how does it compete with the garbage shoved down the throats of the hungry followers?!?

@irascible I don't think it is "brain damage" so much as mental illness, willful ignorance and the unwillingness to think rationally.

@irascible Hmm... I gues humans are very adaptable to survive in different environments and the adaptations the brain makes to survive in a religious environment (s child tryign to cope) accordign to what you say causes adaptations or changes in the brain which makes them unsuitable to live outside of that environment.

As I myself had a geat deal of adjustment needed to cope in the world, after beign raised in a religiosu environment, I'd say you are right. However, I think those brain changes, at least in some persons, as I seem to be an example of, can ovrecopme it. So, at least in some cases the "brain damage" as you put it is not always permanent.

"Women have to provide sex to their men anywhere and at anytime."

Dehnavi also warns women about having too much sex, advising sexual activity be limited to a maximum of “only twice a week, not every day” because “otherwise the man will become saturated.”

Hold on. You've already stated that the woman doesn't have a choice!

@irascible Perhaps this illustrates the need to teaching critical thinking, teaching how to think for oneself instead of people just learning what they re told to think. Religious persons are told what to think, not how to actually think for themselves.

So basically this:

  1. He thinks his own mother is ugly.
  2. He thinks that his father MUST'VE been fantasizing about someone else.
  3. He has been watching a lot of guy-on-guy porn lately.
  4. He has religious authority and needs to blame someone for his insecurities.

But seriously, that's up there with "Lack of Faith causes STDs" and "Prayer improves School Grades"

Ohferpetessake. Well, at least a pleasant change from blaming the mother for everything, I guess.....

@Elganned sigh
I remember when schizophrenia was the mother's fault...too cold.

Hard to believe. However, Baptists, Catholics and many other sects contaminate the air with almost the same ideas.

Nothing can shock me anymore. Religious people have the IQ of a potato.
