So, this may be satirical, but if you ever want to see somebody take the CC to task for being scum, please watch Stephen Fry and Christopher Hitchens in the debate "The Catholic Church is a force for good in the world" (YouTube).

In case you didn't get it: This is satire.

We kinda did...but on the other hand, isn’t this their kind of behaving in the real world?

When satire hits too close to reality.

And we know we can trust them.

Well, we wouldn't want to set a bad precedent now, would we? As Jesus said, the one percenters will inherit the earth, and blessed are the oligarchs.

Yes he did. He said more would be given to those who have and those who haven't would have what they had taken away from them

So now even the pope is showing his true colors. Of course he didn't say how much of their "hard earned inheritance" would go to settle pedophile cases. How could a Catholic look themselves in the mirror?

Plus, they all will get a big tax write-off.

But will the holy father (gag, cough) promise that the money won't be used to pay off law suit settlements to victims of predator priests?

love the beaverton!

Can you imaging wasting good money on those dirty sans-culottes?

Fine way to put-down poor people. Surely, sending a personal note, was not beyond the scope of communications...even the mail gets there sooner or later! Why has it become fashionable to discredit the less privileged in this world? Greed and the valuing of things over people will likely be our down fall!

What does one expect? Money talks and people walk. Ask politicians.

Love the "hard-inherited money" part! Scumbags.

zesty Level 7 Apr 21, 2019

Even if this was real, it's understandable. If you're donating money to a specific cause, then you want 100% of your donation to go towards that cause.

Why should it, after all none of it goes to the poor now, why brake the pattern.

“Rest assured, as the wealthiest church on the face of the planet, we here at the Vatican appreciate your donations. We especially understand your concerns over your hard-inherited money being used to help the destitute.”

“Trust me, we see eye to eye on this matter,” the Pope added with a wink, pointing to the room made of solid gold that he and the various billionaires were gathered in."

LMAO --- gotta love satire.

Satire/Comedy case anyone doesn't know. Please read the disclaimer.

Why is anyone remotely surprised at this?
Seriously. Why would anyone be surprised?
This is typical behavior. It should have been expected.

Thank Glob for that, eh?

Glob must really love the poor. He made so many of them.
