This is me and some actor that looks like the dude on Friends, I don’t think that’s the same guy, though. He kept bumming cigarettes from me.

Actually I think it was one of the Marvel series

I'm friends with Aaron Ra and BionicDance I had a psychotic breakdown to Brian Pulido last night. One of my friends is an artist for SpongeBob, Batman Brave and the Bold and such named Vincent Deporter. Met AC Grayling. Interviewed Neil deGrasse Tyson for and hour on the phone and still have his number. I got drunk at Matt Dilahunty's house and played "Cards against Humanity" Also, I sort of famously coined the following: "I am not an atheist by choice; I am a seeker of truth. My atheism is merely a side effect of that endeavor."

Mohammed Ali was the most famous. Very nice man. I met and done shows with several famous and semi-famous musicians. Some were very engaging and fun to be around, some were shallow and self absorbed. They were not much different than everybody else. Not Ali though, he was special.

From 2000 to 2010, I worked as an "Extra" in movies, TV shows and commercials. So I met and talked to qutie a lot of famous people. Extras are nto supposed to initiate converstion with celevrities, but if they talk to an extra first then conversation is permisable.

What is funny is that I hve never been in awe of celbrities, so talkign to them was no big deal to me. Ijust saw them as (mostly) regular people. Celebrities who are a bit nutty or crazy simply never initiatede conversations on the sets between takes.

Often I didnt' know the name of ht celebrity. I think that my not knowing who they were was a kidn of relief to them, as i was nonthreatening and nto looking to get a piece of them, but was just doing my job.

I thought Dick Van Dyke was a really nice guy. As was matin Sheen. A lot of Extras thought Rob Lowe was stuck up, but on a day where he only had two lines, one at the start of the day and one at the end of th eday he came over and was very socialable, which to me meant on the other days when he had a lot to do he was focused on hsi work, which mad ehim appear to be uhnsocialable.

Most conversations I had were really of no consequence to me, because I wasn't in awe of celebrities, so quite honesty I dont' remember most of the ones I talked to.

Wow i wasn't aware extras couldn't chat uo the big actors, actresses, alot of good experiences for you im sure..

@ScienceBill72 A friend of mine worked on an Eddie Murphy movie. Evidently any Extra who looked at him directly got immediately fired and escorted off the set. Eddie Murphy evidently became full of paranoia as he got older. Normally, if you try to initiate conversation with a star, the casting company gets notified, and all of a sudden you find it hard to get jobs, but you usually get to finish out the day. In most cases the casting company woudl call and give you a warning before you got black listed. In the aboe case of Eddie Murphy gettign you fired, it probably would not count against you.

Oh my snytiger6 thats some distribing stuff about stars and Eddie Murphy, well we do forget that these people are humans also and get bombarded with attention constantly

I went to school with Richard Linklater, however he was in my brother's classes not mine. I was in his sister's classes though. In fact, Dazed and Confused was based on my high school, and the main characters he based the movie on were friends of mine.

I also had a student teacher who went to school with Janice Joplin. I also dated a man who was good friends with the Winter brothers (Johnny and Edgar).

Some big older music names there

I have met a lot of famous people scientists, politicians, authors and journalists. I have met some celebraties but, most of them once you scrap away that celebraty status there isn't much else there.
I am not inspired by the cult of celebraty at all.
