Religious parents suck. I made to age 16 before I found out i had an aunt Barbera (one of my mother's sisters), but it wasnt' until I as 18, that I found out the reason. she married a black man, and the Mormon church was/is very much against inter-racial marriages.
I met my aunt Barbera, and they were a nice family, but they were also jehovah's Witness, and when I came out as gay, they were no longer interested in keeping in touch.

wait...she was shunned for marrying a black man and now she is shunning you for being gay? I don't get it...didn't she feel hurt and rejected? I just don't get that...fucking religion messes with people's ability to think logically...I am sorry but not sorry...
