I don’t go to the cinema very often, so will probably not go out and do so with this movie, but did watch the series on TV and will watch it when it eventually makes its way onto the small screen.
Sorry, not a movie guy. Haven't watched one voluntarily in over a decade.
Do you think cultural ignorance limits certain social interactions and conversation? In certain settings, discussions at "higher" levels is, of course, more interesting and challenging, but what about dealing with people you encounter each day? I take it that you don't fault people for liking other forms of entertainment and for knowing about these cultural references, but was curious as to whether or not it impacted your own interactions...not everyone can be, for lack of a better term, high brow...
@thinktwice At some level, all of us are "ignorant" of most things, there is simply too much going on to be into very much. As a minimalist since long before it became a thing, I apply this approach to how I choose to spend my time. Yes, there are many great movies but the time I would spend watching one is time forever lost. I choose to invest it elsewhere. It is not by any means all highbrow, but take your line of thought and at some point, I'd be watching the Khardasian's. Nope.
@Mitch07102 excellent philosophy...one I am working on...pick and choose wisely...time is the only thing we cannot get more of...
I can't wait for this one and the new Deadwood movie...I loved both series!
