This actually shows the highest instance of a crime that a gun was used for. Displaying how many might have gotten shot but not killed. My state was 31st. What's yours?
As far as Alaska being No.1.. the constant daylight or darkness Summer/Winter....could account for that....remember the Al Pacino movie? The midnight sun even made him homicidal and he was only there as a visiting cop.
The economy might be the culprit.
Is it just me, or are the highest states conservative leaning states? My state is your state...Philly ...is it still bad?
Many get shot daily. When I hear about it on the news I use a multiplier because there's nothing wrong with my hearing.
@IAJO163 Well, that sure makes me want to visit and have a cup of coffee...NOT...
@thinktwice Just certain areas. Don't come to have coffee after 10pm.lol
@IAJO163 ok...lol
Alaska is kind of an oddball. Low poverty rate yet the most gun violence.
They have a lot of "unusual" people...Sarah Palin...need I say more?
@thinktwice. You just beat me to that remark....strange inbred types up there I think!
@Marionville I just think they are more "wild west"...the cold has to be a factor, I would think...more guns as well...nice place to visit but I am not sure I would want to live there...
@thinktwice The constant Daylight/Darkness could be a factor too.
@Marionville , That's known to cause depression and anxiety.
@chucklesIII I know....and probably suicidal and homicidal feelings.
