My preference would be as in many Bronze Age cultures and contemporaries leave me to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field after extracating any useful bits for someone else to make use of.

Good question. Though I’ve several plots in Oregon’s prettiest cemetery.. A daughter recently convinced me she’d sprinkle my ashes in the very best places. I’m leaning toward the latter ..they (the kids) can sell those plots.
