Fascism amongst the working class is a political response common to the frightened, selfish and powerless who are reacting with fear to the economic inequality caused by capitalism.

They are seeking scapegoats, but not the true perpetrators because - crucially - they are not class conscious.

The ruling class owned media points its finger at immigrants, and so they bark at immigrants.

Fascism proper is the ruling class taking direct control when a crisis happens within capitalism. And the ruling class will always prefer fascism over socialism.

So all our cultural apparatus is geared towards fascism and as long as there are haves and have nots there will those who see fascism as the answer.
