Cops shilling for a private company that allows them access to video from your front porch, without you knowing. What could possibly go wrong?

I read this article and all I can say is, "paranoia will destroy ya". It appears to be confusing "doorbell surveillance", which people are installing forr their personal security, with other products by the same or similar companies that are used by law enforcement, and the writer (ignorantly or willfully??!!) confuses you voluntarily supplying footage of your porch if requested by police (like, if you had a package stolen, or had an attempted break-in) with some kind of police state thing.
