Bigotry is alive and well in Nebraska but so is decency maybe there is still some hope after all

Racism, xenophobia, homophobia, and religion phobia all seem to be increasing in the U.S., because that closed mind mentality is being fueled a lot by right wing bias, fear mongering, political rallies, alt-right and white supremacist organizations, and the trump political base.

It's encouraging that other Nebraska residents protected Ferial Pearson from those who would be suspicious and violent toward her.

I am very pleased to hear of the response by the school. Sorry that she was terrorized by the fundamentalists, but happy that she is safe.

I am shocked and disgusted.It's hard to believe that anything like this could happen in this day and age,but,the proof is in the pudding.This does not bode well for the future of not just our country,but,also our species as a whole.
