I think it has develped into a monster holiday ( meaning a very large expensive holiday?) is because of the stores.. promoting the frantic buying.. and people looking for another reason to party and get drunk lol

Yeah, I felt like the story was a bit off. They kind of quickly passed over the whole marketing push thing.
