What cats and dogs understand.

A lot more than we think.

Sacha is a unusual cat in that he will often do as he is told. He understands a lot more than he lets on.

Simple thing like 'come here', go say 'hello' to Heather/Lisa/Zannah he can do. (He meouws at them for no obvious reason)

But I can't understand when he meows at me for some feline thing that makes no sense. I finally understand that when he taps my hand with his paw it is because he wants to be stroked.

Do you have a pet that tries to communicate with you?

He's sleeping on the arm of my chair right now and couldn't give a toss what I think.

My dogs communicate with me, constantly.

Our two cats communicate with us a lot. We don't always understand them, though we often do. We talk to them a lot. They understand heaps.
