Why should I pay attention to what was written by bronze age desert goat herders who heard voices and saw visions that nobody else could see. In modern times we'd say such persons were mentally ill. Yet for some reason we shoudl pay attention to the writings of mentally ill persons, just because they7 lived over 2000 years ago?
