LINK Why Bernie, Not Warren (Definitely worth reading)

"Bernie Sanders has just pulled even with Joe Biden in Iowa and is beating him in New Hampshire, giving Sanders a reasonable claim to being either the frontrunner or the co-frontrunner for the 2020 Democratic nomination. Bernie has struck fear into the heart of the establishment, and even more moderate commentators like Chris Cillizza have noticed that Sanders is in a very good position now: Not only does he top the polls, but his fundraising blows every other candidate out of the water, he has a powerful organization of committed supporters, he is the most liked of all the candidates, he is rated “the best” on critical issues, he has the most enthusiasm, and he has a strong message that distinguishes him from the other candidates. Despite being constantly shunned or attacked by the media and bitterly opposed by the Democratic establishment, Bernie has managed to pull even with the former Vice President."

I totally agree. Warren not only isn't as progressive as Bernie, she's also not as trustworthy. On top of that, as a man, I am well aware of how most men think, esp. blue collar men. The last kind of female candidate they would vote for is someone like her who comes off like a schoolmarm. She would drive those voters to Trump, who comes off more as a warrior and personality they could respect and identify with. Between her and Bernie, it is no contest as to who should drop out and support the other. Bernie has been taking the same positions for decades and been on the right side all the time, while Warren has come to these positions late, at best, after taking them from Bernie. He's earned this nomination, she hasn't.

I agree wholeheartedly. Been having a discussion elsewhere over those same observations. People that insist that it's undeniably sexism for not supporting her (same ones who insisted a resistance to Hillary was also based on nothing more than her gender) reserve the right for themselves to bash Tulsi Gabbard, or Marianne Williamson, or Jill Stein, or Sarah Palin.

If Warren felt her positions are closer to Bernie's, not endorsing him in 2016 sure felt like a betrayal.

It still sticks in my craw being banned here for not genuflecting sufficiently at the altar of Madam Pantsuit in 2016. They hate Bernie and never miss an opportunity to trash him, and still insist that his base are a bunch of misogynist Bernie Bros. The are the same VSPs (Very Serious People) who insisted Hillary didn't need to appeal to progressives to win (though declared those same progressives responsible for her loss).

@WilliamCharles 2016 showed Warren's true colors. By not endorsing Bernie, she proved to be more of an ambitious opportunist than a real progressive.
