Tips for Tinnitus?

I've heard Zinc and garlic supplementing can sometimes help.
Anyone with tinnitus have any tips aside from the usual white noise backgrounds?

Long periods of quiet and ear plugs. Give time to recover as much as possible.

I suggest going to a hearing center. From what I've heard, they are able to use hearing aids to balance out the ringing somehow. And they might have some other recommendations about diet or supplements or medications that can help.

I play 30s and 40s big band music at low volume to distract from it.
