LINK Class War, the DNC, and the Fight for Our Lives | Common Dreams Views

“So in response to Chuck Todd’s question, Biden, Warren, Buttigieg and Klobuchar all answered “no,” that the candidate with the most votes should not necessarily be the nominee.
The only candidate who answered yes, that the person with the most votes at the end of the primary season should win, was Bernie Sanders. This one debate question speaks volumes about each candidate’s willingness to follow the democratic will of the people, instead of handing over the power to the superdelegates and the DNC to make the final decision. This is what’s at stake with a brokered convention.
We’re fighting a class war: the people vs. the corporate oligarchy. This isn’t about who your favorite candidate is anymore (if it ever was). It’s about voting for, or against, the oligarchic takeover of the Democratic Party and the end of electoral democracy in this country.”

Bernie is the only decent person among them.

Who on earth would he choose as his VP?

I think the best choice by far would be Krystal Ball.

@RoboGraham

She would be FANTASTIC!

@Athena

With her on the ticket, they'd win in a landslide.

@RoboGraham

I agree she would be terrific but not many people know her so it mat put the duo at risk.
Andrew Tang is the only other person who appeared really genuine and really believed in something with UBI.

@Athena

It has to be a woman.

Maybe Tulsi Gabbard.

I used to think Tulsi, but he may feel the need to pivot to someone more conservative to appeal to more potential Trump voters, say, Liz... but AOC would really ignite some lefty enthusiasm.

@RoboGraham

I think Bernie wanted Tulsi at one point. He even said in response to that question that he'd "like to run with someone much younger and preferably female."
There's been a fair bit of bad press around Tulsi though.

@skado

I don't think AOC qualifies due to her age.
Running with anyone perceibed as farther right would be a mistake and hurt his campaign.

@Athena

I think Tulsi's bad press, being called a Russian asset, could actually help her.

She is also attractive to conservative leaning voters without actually being conservative.

@Athena
Oh, you’re right - she’s not old enough.
I’m stumped. But yeah, younger and female.

@RoboGraham

Possibly. It's hard to say. I think they'd be a strong ticket and it doesn't hurt that Tulsi is beautiful.
The thing I like the best about that is how much of a burn that would be to Hillary if Tulsi became the US vice president. I loathe that woman.

@RoboGraham

I wonder if Krystal Ball would run. Wow!
If you believe it has to be a woman, it could only be Tulsi, in that case. No way it could be Liz now, after her egregious smear. She's also lost a lot of fans... well, anyone who's been paying attention.
Klobuchar? Ugh.. a wet J Cloth would be better.

@Athena

Tulsi is really beautiful and she brings a lot of positives to the table.

Liz has revealed herself to be a shameless opportunist with no integrity or principles. It certainly won't be her.

@RoboGraham

Agreed!

Forget left vs right, this is now up vs down. The elites vs the working class, the establishment vs anti-establishment.

Remember to punch up.
