Interesting, but I think religiosity is far more influential on anyone self-labeling as Republican, although that religiosity just might be highly influenced by fear, such as the fear of God. Or vice versa. Too bad they didn't include info on religion in that study.

first thought looking at the title- this is alchemy. second thought after scanning the article- for the most part they have their protective magic genie so this experiment does not translate outside the lab
