Of course there is free will, but without self awareness the concept would be meaningless.

But we don’t know what we are. It might not be us as individual bodies that have free will and conscious awareness. It seems impossible to me that a piece of meat would be aware of its existence.

Maybe awareness is in the environment. That’s what I suspect.

Philosophers and scientists (as well as others) have be 'debating' about free will since the ancients. This one article certainly won't resolve it.

It does give an interesting perspective, though.

@Fred_Snerd I find the topic very interesting. Books, lectures, videos. I remain 'agnostic, in the sense I have not been convinced either way.

@Fred_Snerd . . . of course, I had no choice -- it was destiny, pre-determined 😮 😛
