It really comes down to either being pro-social and wearing a mask or being selfish and arrogant so that your precious personal freedom is more important so you don't wear one. Conservatives are, by nature, selfish people, so they will only wear masks if they feel there is something in it for them, such as protecting their own loved ones or themselves. They do not believe in doing things for society's benefit. As Thatcher said, "There is no society"..
