Once fascinating … I now envision them as the equivalent of our deer, over abundant to the point of being pests and highway hazards.. Do they get into people's vegetable gardens?

They can be a pest on roads. As they are so big they do a lot of damage to cars. No they do not get into peoples vegetable gardens. During the fires they got into front gardens and would eat the grass there, many people put out water for them.

@Jolanta Bet I’d love them, as I do our deer.. I couldn’t think of what they eat, and don’t envision them ‘grazing.’ ..wonder what they think of us 🙂

@Varn They eat grass and other vegetation, no meat.
