Pretty amazing that they can detect those carbon/nitrogen/oxygen (CNO) fusion neutrinos. Neutrinos are neutral subatomic particle with a mass close to zero.

. . . the article (and others) don't say what the "scintillating liquid" IS. Enquiring minds want to know 🙂

. . . come to think of it, it doesn't say what (if any) 'conclusions' can be made from this CNO-neutrino success.
