How does that even work. I thought once it was set it was set. If not then the system is totally fucked and you may as well have an indefinite delay to suit whoever is in power!

Exactly, dammit!
He wants to be America's first dictator. He wants to be like Putin and Xi. President for life. He must be stopped. If we're not happy with Biden we can vote him out 2024 but his being elected will save our republic. It's that serious.
It is set. It would take a Constitutional Amendment to change it.
All Trump is doing here is showing how desperate he is and driving away more people who are feeling uneasy about him.
