LINK On serving more than two terms, Trump's tone turns serious

Trump used to joke about serving three or more terms to get a rise out of critics. Now he apparently feels entitled to ignore the Constitution's limits.

Not even possible.
We need term limits for the congress and senate though.

I think he was either asleep or playing hookie during history and civics class.

It is not even possible.

The Constitution predated the 22nd Amendment.

@LovinLarge It's still not possible.

@Sticks48 The 21st Amendment was repealed in 1933.

@LovinLarge It would never happen. He isn't going to get a second anyway.

@Sticks48 Improbabilities are not impossibilities.

@LovinLarge You show me the path.

@Sticks48 I already did.

@LovinLarge The 22nd Amendment is part of the Constitution. It is law. You have yet to explain how trump would get around that.

@Sticks48 Article 5 of the Constitution provides for the repealing of Amendments.

@LovinLarge And it takes two thirds of the House and Senate and then must be ratified by two thirds of the states. I have a better chance of waking up with bangs than the 22nd Amendment has of being repealed. I wouldn't lose sleep over this one. 🙂

@Sticks48 Making it improbable, not impossible.

Hopefully he doesn't live long enough.

I have vivid fantasies of Trump keeling over in late October of this year

@snytiger6 I don't but I'd rather him go than watch my country die.
