Anyone that has worked in polls or science knows that any platform can be created to produce a predetermined result.

Nothing is in the bag for Biden as the polls were wrong four years ago in predicting a Clinton win and the virus makes this election even more unpredictable as we just don't know what voter behavior will be with Covid and what will happen with all the mailed ballots.

We hope they're right but we know we can't depend on them. I heard today on NPR that the WHO thinks it will take us 2 years to get through this pandemic.

Polls can be valuable, especially when there are many of them.

When I was a kid, a court decided a confused election by looking at a series of polls taken in the weeks before the voting.

Polls are useless..

Polls are only snapshots, but useful..

@Varn polls are useless if people lie when answering the questions... Especially in politics lately... They have their uses in other areas though...

The following was a part of CNN's statements on the polls, and part of the reason why I generally don't trust them-

It is important to remember that in the U.S., the president is elected by the electoral college, not by the popular vote, and national polls can only approximate the popular vote.

Here is that whole statement on CNN-
Polls shown below track voters’ views nationwide on the 2020 presidential election between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden. Polls are only displayed here if they meet CNN’s standards for reporting. It is important to remember that in the U.S., the president is elected by the electoral college, not by the popular vote, and national polls can only approximate the popular vote.

Trust the polls that is.

polls just say what they say. don't mean the they're right, don't mean they're wrong. they do seem worth a look tho.

@hankster That they do, at least where overall popularity is concerned anyway.

5 times since 1824 has the popular vote winner not won the election.
