WebBundles Harmful to Content Blocking, Security Tools, and the Open Web
From a developer stance, I don't support anything that obfuscates websites or makes them harder to manage. It's already a shame that so much of the web is reliant on platforms and frameworks that are largely opaque to the average web developer, but these web bundles would take us another step closer to what I've feared would become the standard eventually: compiled websites that function more like applications and are harder to manage and maintain without using third-party proprietary systems. This standard doesn't quite take us to that point, but it's a firm move in that direction. Thanks for sharing this information.
