Does politics hinder religious harmony?

Do you agree that politics somehow made it difficult for people of different religions to live side by side and have a peaceful life?

I’d say that religion hinders political harmony! So much conflict is rooted in religious assertions. People prioritize what they believe, or are told to believe, over logic and reason and other people’s rights.

It's really just the religions that don't allow religious people to live peacefully side by side. Politics are really only there to give us the belief we can make an impact. We just elect spokesmen who tell how we should maintain stat quo to continue privilege for few and work for nearly everyone else.

I don't think so, depends on the country in which you live.
But I'm sure, here in the Philippines, the churches hinder political harmony.
