So, our newly-added Supreme Court "Justice" has been the critical vote in deciding to block (at least temporarily) Gov Cuomo's Covid capacity limits at houses of worship in NY COVID-19 hotspots. NYC went through pure Hell in the spring to reduce the raging covid virus sweeping through its population. The notion that somehow religious gatherings should be exempt from the rules seems like the best way to help the virus eliminate the religious folks from the general population. You'd think there would be some smart enough to see this is wrong on so many levels. But, yeah, if you really think you're somehow protected in a packed crowd of worshipers, go for it. "This is an historic victory" said one rabbi. Atheists may have to agree. [cnn.com]

Freedom to place religious symbols including statues glorying in torture murder and death in public places
Freedom to Lie to and terrify children
Freedom to undermine science and provable facts
Freedom to to oppress women and minorities
Freedom to to promote hypocrisy
Freedom to mutilate the genitals of infants
Freedom to be a self righteous public asshole!
THIS atheist would never support such a freedom, because to do so is to advocate for a theocratic dictatorship of misogynist, racist, totalitarian, dangerously stupid, child abusive, perverts!
And don't tell me that not ALL religious people are like that, because those that are not actively opposed, tacitly support those that are in favour and so are guilty by association, before, after and during the fact!

If you have a friend living in Georgia it's time to alert them about this development. We need to have those two democratic candidates win their elections so we can change the Supreme court's balance of power away from the godnutters.

Agree 100%. I'm donating, as I did a month ago 19-times, but the best thing might be for everyone with a Liberal-minded friend in GA to contact them soon to tell them the rest of the USA and even the PLANET are going to be holding their breath on the Jan 5 election. They ALL have to get out there and vote. Hundred$ of million$ will be spent on TV, digital, print, blimp and billboard ads, but the important thing is for Dems & Independents to freakin' VOTE and take 10 friends with them. Unregistered can still register. We MUST get those 2 Senators!
Let them gather if think their God will protect them we can thin the herd. But in hindsight it's a sign for things to come with this Supreme Court
