I never believed in an invisible deity that resides somewhere beyond the clouds.

In my 20s, I got a Master of Public Administration degree because I get the greatest reward from doing work that helps others.

Since 2006 as a volunteer, I have been helping low income, first generation students (children of immigrants) write essays for college and scholarship applications. One of my best success stories is Brenda, who won $269,445 in scholarships in 2016.

Hiking is a transcendent, uplifting experience for me. We all need more low-level ecstasy in our lives.

Doing good, because it's the right thing to do, and not because you think your god requires it of you, is pretty much all anyone needs to do.
