Wow, how these people love to free associate! Like calling pot a gateway drug (only because your dealer is pushing the harder stuff) or watching/reading porn turns men into violent rapists, just because some rapists consume porn. It takes no account of the millions of pot smokers that never do anything stronger or the millions of porn consumers that never do more than self pleasure and would never even think about forced sex.
These Right Wing Christian Nationalists use the same argument when they try to close down Planned Parenthood clinics, making it a racial issue. But they have no problem supporting the death penalty which has definite racial bias.
