I was listening to Smashing Pumpkins and ready lyrics...came across a mention of Job, as in the book of Job. How twisted! Satan and God casually betting over a man's reaction to having his life devastated... not to mention killing all of his children. And the real icing is he got it all back and new kids! Shit.

Were they new kids or his original kids? Maybe it does not matter. In the bible wife and kids were pretty much like your property. The effect would be sort of like getting your cattle back.
