It’s hard only in respect of the fact that the trauma has affected her and her entire family, and it must be difficult to adjust to a new country where language and lack of education will be a barrier. It will be a long time if ever, to adjust to being free to worship and speak out without fear of arrest and the threat of death hanging over you. I don’t think there is any implication that Canada is anything other that a safe and democratic country and that she and her family are being treated well there, but that the adjustment for them is proving difficult.

She is lucky to be alive.
