"Uber-woke" is just another nonsense term idiots use to attempt to demonize something good that threatens the status quo they love. It's like when they use "elite" as a derogatory term; it makes no sense. But idiots gobble it up and regurgitate it even though the status quo hasn't even been good to them. They're generally poor, white, uneducated, indoctrinated morons that are super easy to fleece and control by virtue of their anger and stupidity.

Seriously, what's so threatening about something "woke"? Do you even know? If you don't want your kids to watch it, don't let them, simple as that. But it's real fuckin' rich coming from the personal freedom, personal responsibility, and anti-government-overreach crowd to try to control what gets made and viewed. It takes a special talent for cognitive dissonance to vomit out bullshit like that.

I saw the "Cinderella" remake yesterday, my (lesbian, married) niece asked to watch it with her wife while visiting.
It's okay, not good, not bad, bright and colourful, little kids will love it.
All that is different from any other version of Cinders that I have seen on stage, screen or TV is that the prince does not want to be king he just wants to be free to marry someone he loves rather than be ordered to marry for political expedience (How toxic is that shock horror, oh hang on isn't that from teh original story?). Cinderella herself wants to be allowed to prove herself capable rather than just to be married off for a dowry or used as a slave (Again isn't that from the original story too?). So the happy ever after is different from the usual one in that she saves him rather than the other way around. Very Buffy the vampire slayer.
The whole film is stolen by Maddie Baillio as Malvolia and Charlotte Spencer as Narissa the step sisters who are genuinely funny and act as the comic relief throughout in parts obviously meant to be a knock off Kirsten Wigg and Mellissa McCarthy who would have stunk up the screen unlike these two ladies who shine.
