That's because your happy slappy & other godbotherers have been preaching that you look through rose tinted spectacles.

We had 2000 deaths/day about 2 weeks ago, but it has dropped to around 1,700 per day. However, looking at last year, the dip may be temporary with another steady rise into Dec-Jan.

[nbcnews.com]

the 'dip" in this red line average is not that promising, yet. and, this cdc graph is over the last 5 weeks, until yesterday. plus, most of the dip is because the numbers in florida and texas are going down, but now their explosion in infections, this summer, is spreading north, out of the south, to kentucky, and into ohio. a major hub, east and west. but, you're right, just wait until the holiday season, again, this year. we'll see a huge spike, again, no doubt. p.s. since biden established the "mandates" nearly 20 million more people have gotten vaccinated. plus, private health insurance is no longer covering all of the medical costs of the unvaccinated. and, red states are still watching their family and friends die. i suppose there's hope, that they'll wake up. but, 30% of republicons say that they will never get vaccinated.
