I don't believe the $300 number.
California only paid $0.25 to $5 for each Indian scalp.

The article is proof positive that the Catholic church has historically mistreated and misused the weak among us.
The article does not address the amount of money paid for scalps in The Dakotas. Note the original claim was up to $300 per scalp. It is easy to surmise that Chiefs would bring a higher price.

Yes, and it's interesting that most of us didn't even know about that history until it came to light while Trump used it as a backdrop for a speech/rally and the location was scrutinized and criticized by one side, and praised even more because of that history by the other.
