The news folk have been telling us the politicians say they have to raise the debt ceiling or we’ll have a economic disaster. They’ve already spent the money and frighten us with talk of a crash if they don’t raise the ceiling.

For now. They're betting it's not in their interest right now to stage another shutdown.

Besides, they successfully distracted us from the Biden budget fight.
