When I was young, I wanted to be a great eccentric. So I did my best.

When I was mature, I knew that I had failed and had just become the village idiot.

Now I am old, I am OK with that. Since I now know that all the worlds great eccentrics really wanted to be the village idiot, all the time. Free and unburdened with the tasks of greatness.

There is no normal and never has been. There are just different types and and levels of crazy. The tricky part is finding those people whose crazy most matches your crazy whether in friendship or in a serious relationship.

I could write a blog post about this, and I might.

Normal is real, I've seen it and it was unimpressive.
