A couple days ago a story was posted about how Philadelphia is going to ignore low level vehicle offenses to prevent police stops that profile minorities. Philadelphia to become first major US city to ban police from stopping drivers for low-level traffic... Of course the poster thought it was a wonderful thing. OP was appalled that me as a Philly guy didn't think this was a good thing at all. This explains it better than I was able to. I don't usually agree with this local journalist, but in this case he's spot on.
