LINK Statue of Confederate Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest removed - Axios

A statue of Confederate Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest, the first Ku Klux Klan grand wizard, was removed Tuesday from the side of a highway in Nashville, Tennessee.

Why it matters: The move to take down the 25-foot statue comes amid renewed scrutiny of Confederate memorials. Dozens of Confederate symbols have been removed, relocated or renamed since George Floyd's death last year.

Good move

Good. Confederate "heroes" were in fact traitors and criminals who took up arms against their nation in support of a cause that was wholly evil. This is certainly a step in the right direction.

Splendid. I would have told the crane operator to "accidentally" (the new most overused word) drop it. Have this several ton statue crash to the highway. Meme would read "Confederate Wizard strikes a final blow on USA." LMAO.
