I was listening to an episode of Alternative Radio where Jenny Brown was talking about the Republican agenda on family, abortion, and immigration. For the first time I have heard a talk that put this all together in a way that was easily understood, factual and with the history behind it that anyone paying attention would know. They defined a family as an economic group that comes together for the support of all the members. Thus the members of the family haver the responsibility for all the financial bills run up by being sick or unemployed, or disabled. Thus every family should have as many children as possible so they will be able to care for their parents when they get old and frail. Great in theory, but what happens in the next generation. What happens when the economic strategy make for an unemployment rate that is really about 20% Nationally. They do not realize their strategy is not sustainable for more than about two years if that.
