Omicron variant of Covid 19. Scotland December 2021
I am currently taking time off of my degree studies in the Social Sciences to work in front line health care supporting adults with special needs. I head a small team of excellent workers and together we deal with a very difficult service user 24/7.
However, there is also our 'senior unit' based nearby to us which deals with easier service users. Here several staff are posting on social media that vaccinations against Covid are pointless and other QAnon bollocks claiming that it is stupidity to get vaccinated.This just stopped short of it being a Jewish conspiracy by the pedophile Pope, but hey-ho some refuse to learn science or inquire into reason.
Not only do I take pride in explaining to my team any science that they do not understand, but I will look into anything I don't. Also, I try to simplify the information for our service user with visual references on the news.
And to the point.
Please, wherever you live, get vaccinated and implore others to do their duty to protect one another through thoughtful personal action.
