Needed to go up to the Pharmacy near my house about 1 hour ago, noticed I had run out of analgesics for the arthritis.
As I arrived, on foot as usual, I saw a woman, nothing unusual about that, coming out of the door.
She looked somehow familiar and then she dropped one of those little thin cardboard folders the Pharmacist use to put your script into when it's been filled.
I bent down, picked it up, it was wide open and then it hit, the woman is a Nun from the local Catholic School, a Sister Mary Joseph, then I saw that the prescription was in her name and was a prescription for Estrostep Fe, an Oral Contraceptive for women.
Now the school are closed until early February 2022, there are NO female students in residence at the school, there, last I heard, 4 Nuns and a Mother Superior residing at the now small attached residence and NO other female staff employed there either.
Anyone care to take a stab and guess what I'm kind of thinking regarding a Nun and a prescription for Oral Contraceptives?

Estrogen can also be used to regulate cycles and/or ease the pain of menstruation.

They are used extensively to treat a variety of "female problems" that have Nothing to do with sex.

As a person who had killer cramps with my periods, the pill made a huge difference when I went on them just before my wedding.

Forgot about that, bloody old age must be affecting the brain cells from time to time.

@Triphid Yeah, those damn senile moments.........

It's decades since I last had conversation on this issue with any woman, so like @Triphid I also had forgotten. I have an acquaintance who has endometriosis, I might ask her about it.

Most likely for sex - and yet certain contraceptives affect and reduce some women's menstrual cycles; I would even bet that a quick look on line would show other possible medical uses. All that said - she is having sex is the most likely solution. Early in my teaching career, I worked at a catholic high school. We got sent a nun, for a year; Sister David was a bit eccentric as a teacher, no big deal, but she used to host men from Africa, and from the stories, she really hosted them well - they had happy endings.

Up until I was 11 years old and we moved house, we lived in a house directly behind the St. Mary's Catholic School in Broken Hill, N.S.W.
The goings on there between Nuns and the Priests would make even the most ardent Porn Stars blush imo.
