LINK At least 7 states proposed anti-trans bills in first week of 2022
State lawmakers across the country introduced at least nine measures this week that would limit the rights of transgender and nonbinary youth.
(My nephews met a transgender woman when he attended USC, in an Anime club. She has moved up north and is staying with us while she gets established locally.)

The GOP long ago stopped trying to make America a better country for all, and now just promotes outrage and hate to pander to their base. It's horrifying, especially considering all their blather about freedom and rights.

& the big reason for that behavior in the GQP is simply to retain power at all cost. The Dems hands are not clean, really, but the GQP have taken Chicago Alderman elections/Daley run dirty politics, & have stacked the deck openly & publicly in a lot of the U.S. election laws (along with gerrymandering & voter suppression) & will attempt to outright steal elections, no matter the actual count or legality. By pushing "The Big Lie" it opens the door to challenge any election, anywhere.
