Blue Jeans. Interesting history. Do you know why they're blue? Watch!

Denim originally meant "from Nimes" (France)...I learn something new every day!

Dungarees? Named after cow dung? or the town of Dunga in India? Another surprise!

do ya'll know the story of the original Levi's with a crotch rivet?

sitting around the campfire that metal rivet could get warmer than preferred, much. upon standing it could make the wearer know it had gotten in such a state. they quit adding that rivet. so if you come across an old pair with that rivet they're worth a pile of money, and wear them around the campfire at your own peril.

Very timely for me. I just bought 2 pairs of Levi's this week. After years of searching for the perfect fit, I finally found that elusive pair of blue jeans, so I bought 2. Now I'm happy and can make cut-offs out of the poor fitting jeans I've been wearing. 😉
