LINK France bans gay ‘conversion therapy’ with new law

PARIS ✈ — France has a new law that bans so-called conversion therapies and authorizes jail time and fines for practitioners who use the scientifically discredited practice to attempt to change the sexual orientation or gender identity of LGBTQ people.

The National Assembly approved the new law unanimously, voting 142-0 on Tuesday evening.

The legislation includes criminal penalties for people who are convicted of trying to “convert” LGBTQ people to heterosexuality or traditional gender expectations.

Whether someone is born gay or bi OR chooses to be
gay or bi, why do these people care?

I don't think that will happen in this country any time soon.

Nationally no, but numerous states and municipalities have banned it. 🙂 [en.wikipedia.org]
